Anu is the smallest ant on the whole hill, and today she has found something wonderful: a giant sugar-biscuit crumb, big enough to feed the hill for a week. But it is four times taller than she is, and it will not budge. Instead of giving up, Anu thinks: 'It isn't too heavy. It's too heavy for ONE!' With friends Bala, Meera, and Kavi, a clever plan with a special job for everyone, and a watchful bird circling overhead, the tiniest ant shows that teamwork moves what muscle cannot. A warm story about persistence and cooperation for ages 3–7.
- Antennae — the two long feelers on an ant's head, used to touch and smell
- Crumb — a tiny broken piece of food
- Enormous — very, very big
- Plan — thinking through what everyone will do before you start
- Teamwork — working together, each doing a special job
- Effort — trying hard, even when something is difficult
- Trembled — shook a little, from being tired or scared
- Celebrate — to show joy when something good happens

4.5· 2 reviewsMy kids laughed out loud at the ant's solutions. It's hard to find a book that's both genuinely funny and quietly smart. This one nails it.
A quick read that my 4-year-old memorized in two days. He loves 'reading' it back to me. Would love a longer version for bedtime.
