Accessibility

What we have built for accessibility, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
1. Reading the site
Every page works with a keyboard alone: Tab moves through links and controls, Enter follows them, and the reader's page-turn buttons are reachable without a mouse. Focus outlines are visible throughout.
Story text can be enlarged with your browser's own zoom or text-size setting without breaking the layout, and the read-along reader offers a larger-text option.
2. Images and motion
Illustrations carry a description of what they show, and decorative shapes are hidden from screen readers. Book covers are described as the cover of that book by its author.
Page-turn animations and the drifting backgrounds switch off automatically when your device asks for reduced motion.
3. Colour and contrast
Body text and buttons were built to stay readable against their backgrounds, and the reader has a night mode and a dyslexia-friendly font option. If any text is hard to read for you, tell us and we will fix it.
4. Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site stops you or your child from using it, write to contact@accesslabsapps.com with the page and what happened. We will reply within two business days and tell you what we can change.
