About this story
Liam loves animals more than anything in the whole world — every morning he watches the birds, squirrels, and butterflies visit his yard. Then one sunny day he spots something unusual near the old oak tree: a small bird sitting very still on the ground, when birds usually hop and fly. He calls his best friends — Maya, Sam, Priya, and Theo — and the five young rescuers gather around the bird carefully: no shouting, no running, slow movements and soft, gentle voices so they don't scare it. Maya says wisely, 'We should observe first.' They watch quietly: one wing droops, and the little bird can't flutter up to its nest. Sam says seriously, 'We need to be responsible about it.' Theo pulls out his notebook — his mom is a veterinarian, and she always says 'research before you act.' And Priya remembers the most important rule of all: never pick up a wild animal without asking a grown-up first. So the five friends run to tell Liam's mom, who listens carefully and says, 'You were so smart to come and get help.' A gentle, complete story about rescuing animals the right way.
